A rare independent bottling from the legendary Port Ellen Distillery on Islay, released as part of the Provenance range.

Distilled in Spring 1983, the same year that Port Ellen ceased production, this single malt was matured for 26 years before bottling, making it a particularly desirable example from the distillery's final year of operation.

Port Ellen remained silent for more than three decades following its closure and has become one of the most revered names amongst collectors of Islay whisky. Original stocks from the distillery's historic period are increasingly scarce, particularly well-aged expressions distilled during its final years.

A superb collectable bottling combining significant age, provenance and a highly sought-after 1983 Port Ellen vintage.
