The first edition of Mr George Legacy single malt from Gordon & MacPhail was distilled in 1953 at Glen Grant distillery and matured in a first-fill sherry butt, until it was bottled in January 2021 after 67 years. Aromas of beeswax, stewed fruit, toasted hazelnuts, orange peel and ginger fill the nose, complemented by notes of autumnal spice, plum, blackcurrant and treacle throughout the palate, as well as hints of mint and bonfire embers that linger in the finish.
